Pan de Azucar

Along the route from Montevideo to Punta Del Este lays this “little” hill with a massive cross on the peak. When I first laid my eyes on it 3 years ago, I told myself, “I want to climb to the top”, and so in my 3rd trip to Uruguay this time, I finally made it happen. :)

The journey up was intense due to the rock pathways, as a result, my legs suffered terribly(and my RM40 pair of shoes probably contributed to the pain too:P). Sure, I underestimated the climb, but after all the huffing and puffing, I was granted a gorgeous scenery of the green suburbs and distant ocean.

The wind was ice cold like the infinite silence, and the old cross gave access to a higher altitude, where the scribbles of past visitors remained.

What motivates me in times of fatigue is merely a concept in mind- the idea of me standing off the edge of a high altitude spot, as means of therapy similar to what theater does for me.

Meantime, I discovered this lovely tune entitled, ‘Autumn Sunrise’ by Infinitirock, apparently an 18 year old producer.wow.
